What is BSA Troop 131 all about?
It is for boys age 11-17 who want to have fun, explore the outdoors, learn leadership skills, and hang out together.
No experience or prior training is needed.
Boys work in small groups called patrols to eat, learn new skills, and just have fun.
Patrols are run by the scouts to get hands on leadership skills
As the scouts learn skills and show leadership they gain rank and other awards.
All scouts benefit from these experences regardless of what rank they earn.
A few, about 2% nationally, earn the prestigous rank of Eagle Scout.
Troop 131 has traditionally developed a significant number of Eagle Scouts.
